I made these tags to put on presents for my post at Design in Papers this week. I think it's the perfect thing to do when you need to get away from all the Christmas preps for like half an hour and get some crafty time. I'm sure you need tags so it's legit to sneak off for this ;)
I used paper by american Crafts and made the tags myself using a corner chomper, Crop-a-dile and a circle punch. When you've decided on a design it takes no time at all to put them together.

I made some tags to bring when I was visiting my aunt who loves to read. I always make sure to have some with me when I go but this time I did not have any laying around so I made new ones. I forgot how fun it is to make tags, they are so small and allows for a lot of playing. I used left over strips of 6x6 paper, the left over pieces from covering a card front is the perfect tag size. I dug into my Lawn Fawn stash and colored with Spectrum Aquas.

I felt like doing some bookmarks the other day and made these two for todays post at DESIGN in PAPERS using the Pen Pals collection from Pink Paislee and some Heidi Swapp kraft colored tags. I really like them :)
And this one I made to use up a left over die cut feather from another project. I like it, it’s so pretty with the inlayed feather.

This week we have a tag theme at En liten butik and I made this little tag. When I make tags I usually want to try out some new technique. I saw a way to do a cool water color effect and tried that on this tag that I cut out of watercolor paper. Well, I guess you’ll just have to take my word for it when I say it looks kinda cool because then I covered almost the whole tag with stuff ;)
I just love these chipboard frames from MME. Also it was kind of cool how nicely that Hero Arts stamp fits inside the frame. I’ve embossed with gold on vellum, I love the translucent effect. I’ll probably put this tag on the front of a card, it is really cute.
I’m very happy I finally got out my Cameo from under the pile of junk where it has been hiding for to long. I sat an entire night cutting stuff out and made some christmas tags while I were at it.
I used some lovely papers from Carta Bella for my tags and they really didn’t need much more decorations.
Tis week it’s time for part two in Hobbyworlds awesome fall challenge! Now there is an entire week for you to create a fall inspired kit in three parts for our challenge. There are some great Spellbinders to win! The good thing about making matching kits is that after making the first piece the rest is easy since you allready have everything out. The bad thing is that it makes quite a mess on the scrap table. At least on mine ;)
I made a card, a tag and altered a notepad that happened to be the same color as the papers I used.
For all creations I’ve used Spellbinders embossing folders to emboss cardstock covered in metal tape I had at home. I used a really cool 3D-embossingfolder for the card, it turned out really detailed and cool! I mixed up some MS Craft Paint in gold with some black pearlmaker (it was just the first thing I happened to grab, I guess it would be even better with acrylic paint) and smeared it all over the embossed surface with my fingers. I dabbed off the excess and after drying I also sanded it a bit.
I made the bookmark with another of the new embossing folders from Spellbinders.
The last part of the kit is this notebook, it was laying around and happened to be the same color as the papers I used. I cut out an embossed part with one of the new label shapes from Spellbinders. This one will be great for texts on cards also, the shape is so pretty!

Today I made a quick project for Hobbyworld to be able to squeeze in some summer reading. I made a tag to use as a bookmark using a Sizzix die. I didn’t know Bazzil made patterned papers before getting these (called Beach House) in my DT-kit a while ago. They are made from thick paper and of great quality. Great paper in great patterns! These has been laying around for a while but I love the nautical trend that I see everywhere and wanted to try it out myself. This collection was perfect and for something extra I added some gold thread (as usual).
Last weekend I went to Svensk Scrapbookings crop in Karlstad. I had a great time and made projects for 7 of the challenges, that has got to be a new record for me! Well, actually I think I made projects for 8 challenges but one I’m not going to put in my blog. It was a crazy 10 minutes challenge, one instruction every minute, yikes! But it was fun and we all had a laugh.
Anyways, I did actually win one of the challenges with things I found in the DT-kit Hobbyworld had sent for us to use while there. I got lots of stamps and papers from Papermaze, super cute!
I got my hands on the amazing All is Bright series from MME. The challange was to make a kit with matching projects, one christmas card, onte tag and a christmas ornament. We had another challenge to alter a candle and I made one that matched the other projects.
The papers from the All is Bright series from My Minds Eye are really my kind of Christmas papers, they come in lovely blues, turqoise, red and creme colors. They are so lovely that you really can’t fail when using them.
I went to visit CiLi in Papers to chat and Cicci showed me these super cute tiny bird houses in one of the other shops and I fell in love. I had to get some and that’s what I used for a christmas ornament. The little bird from Prima was just perfect to add to it! Love how it turned out!
This is the christmas card. It’s easy to match when using paper from the same series. I also made it match using the same border punch, twine and another cute bird.
To make the tag I used a Spellbinders die, it is fun to just use parts of the dies to make nice edges. I also love those fat eyelets, they are just perfect for tags!
The candle I made as a quick bonus project. It doesn’t take many minutes to punch out a nice border, tie some string around it and adhere some stickers. You can make them as a last-minute hostess present maby? I wouldn’t recommend burning the candle unattended though, paper and fire isn’t a great combination when left alone.
I really had a great time in Karlstad and met all the wonderful scrappers I usually only see online. Isn’t scrappers the most friendly people? There will be a lot mor projects from Karlstad in the blog. There will be no other pictures unfortionetly since I never remember to take any.
Jag har knåpat ihop en liten tavla som ska få stå på mitt skrivbord på jobbet. En del dagar känns det inte som om livet är på topp direkt och då kan det vara bra att få en liten påminnelse om att det faktiskt kan bli en bra dag ändå. Själva bilden hittade jag på Pinterest, jag skrev ut den på fotopapper. Jag hade en gammal träram som jag piffade till så att den passade med bilden. Jag grundmålade med gesso och sen var det bara att börja med det roliga.

I’ve made a small picture to put on my desk at work. Some days you don’t really feel on top of the world, those days you might need a small reminder that the day still can improve. I found the picture at Pinterest and printed it on photo paper. I had an old wooden picture frame that I gave a make-over to go with the picture. I put a layer of gesso on the frame before starting to decorate it.
Jag tycker nästan alltid bäst om b-sidorna på papper, de brukar ha mindre mönster och passa till kort och mindre projekt. Här har jag använt b-sidan av pappret Sweet Chevron från My Minds Eyes serie On the Sunny Side till att klä in ramen med. Jag har kletat lite utspädd gesso och sprayat glimmer mist på pappret för att ge den lite mer nött känsla.

I almost always fall for the b-sides of paper. They often have smaller pattern that are perfect for cards and smaller projects. For the frame I used the b-side of Sweet Chevron from My Minds Eyes On The Sunny Side series. I put some watered down gesso and glimmer mist on the frame to make it a bit more shabby.
Jag har använt en knapp som jag monterat på 3d-kudde för att ha något att fästa nålarna i. En chipboardblomma fick pryda knappen också. Jag använde ett par av filtprydnaderna från Basic Greys Konnichiwa-serie också.

I used a button mounted on 3d-adhesive to put some pins in. I decorated the button with a chipboard flower. I also used a couple of the felt trimmings from Basic Greys Konnichiwa line to decorate my frame.
Till serien finns underbart fina brads och en sådan tillsammans med en chipboard-figur fick pryda ett hörn. Jag har klippt av “benen” på braden och fäst den med 3d-kudde så att chipboarden skulle rymmas under.

There are super cute matching brads in the line and I used one of them on a chipboard to decorate a corner of the frame. I cut of the “legs” on the brad and mounted it with 3d-adhesive to make room for the chipboard under the brad.

Jag är lite smått tokig i att ladda hem skärfiler till söta lådor och 3D-projekt som jag sen kan skära ut med Cameon. När jag använde min SD så blev lådorna rätt små men nu går det ju bra att skära ut större projekt som till exempel dockhuset jag visade förra veckan. Denna vecka vill jag visa ett annat projekt som jag gjort med Cameon. En fin ask som får mig att tänka på såna gameldags lådor som man bär mjölkflaskor i. Det är ett fack på vardera sida som man kan ha en liten present i.

I’m slightly crazy about downloading cutfiles for little boxes and 3D-projects to cut out with the Cameo. When I used the Silhouette SD the boxes didn’t get very big but now I can cut them the size I want to. Like the dollhouse I made for last weeks blog post. This week I’m showing another project made with the Cameo. I made a cute box that makes me think of those old boxes you used to carry milk bottles in. There is one box on each side of the handle to put small presents in.
Jag har använt självhäftande bokstäver från Basic Greys Konnichiwa-serie till att skriva ordet kram på en liten vimpel. De vackra gula pappren är från Teresa Collins.

I used the letter stickers from Basic Greys Konnichiwa line to write a sentiment on a banner. The beautiful yellow papers are from Teresa Collins.
Jag skar även ut blommor ur mönstrat papper ur ett pappersblock från My Minds Eye. Jag monterar de olika lagren med 3D-kuddar så att blommorna blir höga och fina. Till mitten av blommorna använde jag ett Shape Studio-verktyg från Epiphany Crafts. Jag stansade ut cirklarna ur baksidan på Teresa Collinspappret. De små cirklarna är fantastiskt användbara och jag tror det är min favorit av alla de fina EC-verktygen. Eller kanske stjärnan. Asch, jag gillar dem alla! De är galet användbara!

I used the Cameo to cut flowers out of paper from a My Minds Eye-paper pad. I use dimensional adhesive to put the flowers together, that way they get some nice dimension. I used a Shape Studio tool from Epiphany Crafts to make the middle of the flowers. I punched them from the b-side of the Teresa Collins paper. Those little circles are really versatile, I think they are my favourite out of the EC-tools. Or maybe I like the star better. Nah, I love them all, they are really useful.
