I was really happy to get published in the last issue of Inzpira Magazine with three of my creations. I made this translucent card with vellum and a transparent overlay.
Also a set of three kraft notecards to give as a gift to someone. I made a photo tutorial for these too.
And I also made a page in my Art Journal.
You can get Inzpira Magazine for your tablet in AppStore and Google Play and it's avalible in both Swedish and English versions. My creations was in the august issue. Thanks for stopping by!
Wednesdays are DESIGN in PAPERS day for me, and I made this card using some new Pebbles papers I picked upp for my latest DT-kit. I love love love the graphical patterns in this line and the colors are really great! And see! Not a single stamp! That doesn't happen often. The papers were enough I think, I just cut a strip from some of the papers and sewed them to my cardfront with gold thread. This thread is aweful to use in my machine and it always tangles and makes a mess but its so pretty it's totally worth it!
Well, that's my card for today. I wanted to take the opportunity to promote the Christmas event taking place at ABNH this month. We have some amazing guests and there will be a new inspirational post every day for the whole month of November. And there will be prizes too, you can't miss that!
I got this idea of making a shaker with different material in different parts. I could not stop thinking about it and had to go through my stash to find some material that would make a great double shaker card. I came up with this umbrella from Pink Paislee. I was thinking that the skies was gray but under the umbrella it would be sunny.
Just look at that shaker! I just love it! I had to toss my first try but this turned out just like the image in my head. I'm just so happy! Silly huh? but I get these ideas thet just needs to be done, I was thinking about this for a few days before making it. And sometimes but not very often they turn out just like I thought they would or even better and then I'm totally happy for a long time :) I love coming up with new ideas! Must be the technical part of the brain that wants to have fun too.
Anyways, be back tomorrow with a card for DESIGN in PAPERS. I hope you'll be back again then :) Thanks for stopping by, YOU make me happy when skies are gray!
It's wednesday and that means that it is my turn at DESIGN in PAPERS. I made a birthday card for my daughters friend, she is going to a party this weekend. They are going horseback riding, she is very excited! I would be too :) Hurra is Hooray (pretty easy to guess), I like spelling out words for cards when I don't have a good stamp. I try to do texts in Swedish for kids even though they all know at least Happy Birthday. My son is in the second grade and just started to learn English at school and he is like a sponge, he know pretty much allready and loves to try to speak English at home. And that means that my daughter learns from him as well. They just loves to learn new stuff.
Well, anyways. That's my card for today, I hope you liked it! The papers are Studio Calico and the letters Heidi Swapp. See you soon!
This card I made for WOW! this month. We are featuring the Calypso Embossing glitter and the De-Vine stamp this month and I made this card. For all the details, please go see my post over at WOW.
It was a long time since I really felt like making a LO but the black and white papers from Studio Calicos Brighton Pier Collection wanted to be used for a monochromatic LO with a black and white picture and who am I to say no to papers when they call for me to do something with them?
Turqoise and cork got to break up all the black and white and some gold dots just because they are so pretty! This is my hubbie driving the family up to visit my parents for christmas. I can’t remember if it was last christmas or the one before, I have had this picture printed and ready to be scrapped for a long time. But then again I guess it looked sort of the same both years ;) For more info on the products I used go check out DESIGN in PAPERS.
I made this LO for the sunday sketch challenge at Studio Calico. I really liked the grid design but I made mine in 12x12 inch format. The picture is of hubbie and our dog Castor that is no longer with us. It’s taken i bad lighting at night in the sofa, he was such a sweet dog loving to cuddle.
That’s it for me today. Don’t miss my other post today, just keep scrolling. I made a really cool card for SSS wednesday challenge too. But today it’s aining and I get to spend the day in my scrap room and will not be hanging around the computer any more.
For this weeks posts at DESIGN in PAPERS we all got the same dies to create with. The dies are from Tonic Studios and I picked two of the three to make a couple of cards with. First i used the doily to make this card. I love the combo of pink and orange, very pretty. I added some gold splashes to it and colored my butterflys to match the other decorations.
Then there is this card, using the same paper pad from Studio Calico, the Wanderlust collection. It’s really eclectic with all the different styles going on. i like it because i don’t get bored with it. i keep finding more and more patterns I like. I don’t think i ever had such a versatile collection before.
I hope you liked my cards. If you liked the dies you should really check out the DESIGN in PAPERS blog this week since the whole team are using them. I love to see how different we all use the same tools and supplies!
In other news I took the first two Copic certification classes this weekend, at Scrapfabriken in Uddevalla. I loved the classes and learned a lot. I’ll be taking the last two classes this fall and am already looking foward to it. There is a lot of coloring going on at home right now. Both for the Wtercolor for cardmakers class (onlinecardclasses.com) and to practice the tecniques with Copics. Since there is a lot of practicing I don’t make as many cards, I just color and color and play to learn. So much to do and so little time, but as long as I’m having fun it’s all ok :)
I had some decorations that I tried to use and they never really works but they are still pretty. Like Labels, I love labels. Have tons of them. Do I ever use them? Not as often as I would like to. I made the first card using some matching labels and a vellum sticker as a sentiment.
Pretty cute! I like the different shapes and the fact that I get allocated spaces to put some decorations.
Next try was some chipboard speech bubbles. I love Speach bubbles. As it turns out I love them together on a card to. I sew them down with gold thread (and since they are self adhesive it made a mess of my sewing machine, the back of the card looks like a birds nest!!!), pretty, right? I also embossed the edges of the middle layers with gold to match.
This was my post for DESIGN in PAPERS this week. I hope you liked it! Thanks for stopping by!
Today I’m doing my first solo post at A Blog Named Hero and I’m very excited to share my three cards using Distress Stains. I have described the techniques used at ABNH so be sure to hop over there if you want to know more.
As usual there is a challenge over at ABNH and the current one is all about layers.
As usual there is a great prize sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.
