I got this idea of making a shaker with different material in different parts. I could not stop thinking about it and had to go through my stash to find some material that would make a great double shaker card. I came up with this umbrella from Pink Paislee. I was thinking that the skies was gray but under the umbrella it would be sunny.
Just look at that shaker! I just love it! I had to toss my first try but this turned out just like the image in my head. I'm just so happy! Silly huh? but I get these ideas thet just needs to be done, I was thinking about this for a few days before making it. And sometimes but not very often they turn out just like I thought they would or even better and then I'm totally happy for a long time :) I love coming up with new ideas! Must be the technical part of the brain that wants to have fun too.
Anyways, be back tomorrow with a card for DESIGN in PAPERS. I hope you'll be back again then :) Thanks for stopping by, YOU make me happy when skies are gray!
New year, new beginnings. I started this one by giving my blog a small makeover and then cleaning up in my scraproom and under all the piles of junk and glitter I found some inspiration. Apparently it helps to have a desk to work on and some space to move around the chair. I got the idea of making a mason jar with text on it and make it like a shaker card filled with pretty stuff. I made cards making a pretty watercolor background and made one for the jar as well, I love how it turned out.. It looks kind of dreamy.
I did make a lid for the jar, embossing it and all but then I got the idea of letting some pf the happy in the jar burst out instead. I used some metallic thread and wood veneer for that. And I got to use some of my stickles.
The background turned out really pretty too, it’s texture paste mixed with some distress ink. The mask I cut out with my Cameo. I love making my own masks! I use some of the cardstock in odd colors I’ve got. You can use tha mask a couple of times depending on how much of a mess you make.
The picture is of my daughter Idun and her friend Freja, we had a photo session this fall and Frejas mother Jessica took this picture. The girls had a lot of fun :) I think it was the perfect picture for this LO.
It’s time for a new challenge in the Hobbyworld blog. This time your mission is to make a christmas card but without the classical christmas colors red and green. I used a spellbinders die to cut out a glittery christmas ornament. The background is blur with glittery gold stars ad a pink banner. How do you make a christmas card without traditional christmas colors? It’s nice to do something different för a change!

Here is another card made after a sketch on the crop in Karlstad. I used some Neon ink from Hero art and these cool Technique Tuesday stamp that I got there. I used some sequins to embellish and it looks kind of wierd and fun at the same time :) and I love that border die from Spellbinders. Isn’t it cool?
I think the card is kind of cool and the neon really pops against the black and white. Neon certainly isn’t for everyone but I like this trend becaus it’s fun. And fun is good.
And tomorrow I’ll blog the last of my creations from Karlstad. I wish I always had as much inspiration as I do when I’m there. But then I wouldn’t get much else done around here would I? Com back tomorrow for the last LO, there will be a tiny elephant involved... Exciting, right?
Is it too soon to start making christmas cards? I got this cute stamp in my kit from En liten butik and needed to relax so I spent an evenling looking at a movie about Salmon fishing in Yemen (kind of cute movie) and coloring this stamp. It was super relaxing, to me coloring is like meditation. It just clears all the clutter from my brain and I feel like a new person after. Well as long as I don’t mess up too bad ;)
I loved the little chubby bird and spent some time looking for a large enough spellbinders die that wouldn’t crop out the bird or the silly dog.
This card got me in the mood to make more christmas cards. I got some awesome christmas products in my Hobbyworld kit and hopefully you’ll get to see it tomorrow here in the blog. I have Aspen Frost from Basic Grey that I really think looks awesome. And one more series that I just can’t remember the name of. but it looks amazing and now that I made that first card for the season I bet I’ll be popping out christmas cards every now and then and hopefully I’ll even send some this year ;)
Have a nice weekend! Pop back here tomorrow to se whatever I came up with for Hobbyworld. It might be a christmas card or it might be something entirely different. Even I don’t know since I haven’t really started anything yet.
Here are my inspiration for this months Hobbyworld challenge with prizes from Bazzil. The idea is to make a creation with no patterned paper at all and I used one of my new Spellbinders dies to make this card. The dies are made so that you can use only the outline, only the pattern or combine both. I cut the pattern from white cardstock and mounted it on black cardstock with thin 3D adhesive.I stamped a black circle on to the new cool neon cardstock from Bazzil and then I heat embossed a small greating in white.
Make sure to check out the challange because the prizes are as usual great!

I like to experiment with inks and colors and sometimes it doesn’t turn out just the way I want it. I still keep the samples to use for something else and for this card I cut a lovely doily from one of the papers laying around. I used some of the new Spellbinders, these doilys are just lovely and you get three different shapes and sizes in the package. I also used a romantic paper from Prima and some bling. This is my inspiration for Hobbyworld this week.

It’s time for the last part of out fall challange at Hobbyworld and now it’s time for all the cardmakers to show their talent. I made a kind of crazy card with some leaf dies from Spellbinders. It turned out kind of straggly, I used the Big Shot quite a bit to make it.
I’ve done my stamping on new Labels Thirty-Three, I’ve fallen in love with it. It such a great shape to place your sentiment on or maby a title on a LO.
Good luck with the challenge. I hope you have as much fun as I had making this card!
Tis week it’s time for part two in Hobbyworlds awesome fall challenge! Now there is an entire week for you to create a fall inspired kit in three parts for our challenge. There are some great Spellbinders to win! The good thing about making matching kits is that after making the first piece the rest is easy since you allready have everything out. The bad thing is that it makes quite a mess on the scrap table. At least on mine ;)
I made a card, a tag and altered a notepad that happened to be the same color as the papers I used.
For all creations I’ve used Spellbinders embossing folders to emboss cardstock covered in metal tape I had at home. I used a really cool 3D-embossingfolder for the card, it turned out really detailed and cool! I mixed up some MS Craft Paint in gold with some black pearlmaker (it was just the first thing I happened to grab, I guess it would be even better with acrylic paint) and smeared it all over the embossed surface with my fingers. I dabbed off the excess and after drying I also sanded it a bit.
I made the bookmark with another of the new embossing folders from Spellbinders.
The last part of the kit is this notebook, it was laying around and happened to be the same color as the papers I used. I cut out an embossed part with one of the new label shapes from Spellbinders. This one will be great for texts on cards also, the shape is so pretty!
I hope you got a bit inspired to create something for our challenge. I’m looking forward to seeing what you created!
