It’s time for me to say good bye and leave my spot in the amazing Hobbyworld design team. I’ve had a wonderful time and look forward to seeing what the new team will create. Here are some of my favourite creations from my time as DT at Hobbyworld.
Take care now and have an awesome and creative 2014!
I’m very happy I finally got out my Cameo from under the pile of junk where it has been hiding for to long. I sat an entire night cutting stuff out and made some christmas tags while I were at it.
I used some lovely papers from Carta Bella for my tags and they really didn’t need much more decorations.
This weekend I’m visiting my younger brother. Since we saw each other the last time he has gotten married, his wife has had her disputation and this week it is his turn. They do deserve a gift and off course I brought one. It just needed a box. I measured the gift and draw a rectangle that size in Silhouette Studio, I found a box I liked and rezised it so that the bottom rectangle was the same size as my drawn rectangle. That way I knew my gift would fit in the box. Since the box got quite big and didn’t fit my 12x12 cardstock I got out the big guns, my 12x24 inch cutting mat and cardstock.
I had some pipes and other parts from Prima that are so cool I just had to use them, I need more!!! I also added some black and grey glittery flowers from Prima. I really like my box. Maby I could have lined it with some Silhouette chipboard to make it sturdy since it is quite big. But this will work as long as I am careful with it. This is my project for Hobbyworld this week.
It’s time for a new challenge in the Hobbyworld blog. This time your mission is to make a christmas card but without the classical christmas colors red and green. I used a spellbinders die to cut out a glittery christmas ornament. The background is blur with glittery gold stars ad a pink banner. How do you make a christmas card without traditional christmas colors? It’s nice to do something different för a change!

I was totally happy when I got a start kit of Silhouette Stamp Material in my dt-kit from Hobbyworld. I was not dissapointed because the stamps turned out great. I just wanted to add that to be able to use the special cutting mat you have to remove the white protective paper first. Don’t ask how I know that ;) The material is quite thin and if you cut intricate stamps from it they will be kind of hard to get the right shape when you mount them. You can use your print function in Silhouette Studio to first print out the shape on regular printer paper, then cut the shape from the material and when you are going to mount the stamp you just put it over the printed image and see that the shape looks right and then just press down your acrylic block on top and it will stick to it and be the right shape.
I decided to make a Christmas stamp since most of mine are in english. I am really happy with how it turned out! I embossed the stamp in gold on black cardstock and the embossing ink worked great with my stamp. I cleaned it with a baby wipe and let air dry.
The first card I embellished with brads from Carta Bella. I also had some left over enamel dots in odd colours and I painted them gold with some great gold pens from EK Success. I uset the same pen to doodle little dots on the card and faux stitching.
The other card got some bling embellishments from Marianne Design and also some doodeled dots. My dear DT-collegue Linda has infected me with dot-fever, she does those cut little trios of dots everywhere and I wanted to try ;)

When I use my Cameo to cut something out I often cut a bit more then I need. When I cut from white cardstock I usually fill the entire 12x12 surface with things that might come in handy. It is easy to color it to fit in with everything when needed. I had this text laying in my stash and wanted to use it for this weeks Hobbyworld post. I made my background with mist, texture paste and other color products and finished with a layer with Martha Stewart Gesso diluted with water to soften all the colors. I like the effect on this soft Prima paper.
It all shimmers in gold and pink. I used some Prima Swirls, Enamel Dots and stamps to embellish and also some cut out leaves from my stash.

Today I want to show you this shaker card I made for Hobbyworld. I filled it with multi colored bling. I’ve used a Photo Freedom kit from Echo Park designed by Jenni Bowlin. I really like this black and white patterned paper and wanted to use it for a card.
I made the shaker part by cutting out a window from a piece of patterned paper, backing it with a piece of plastic package and framing it with foam tape. I had the bling in my stash but you can use anything you have on hand like sequins, glitter or smal punched or die cut shapes for example.

I was inspired by Malins great sketch for the november challenge at Hobbyworld and made this LO. The picture is of my daughter and het friend, they are always having the best time toghether. I made the LO with christmas papers from Basic Grey, I just used the pink, aqua and grey papers. I think the colors went really well with my photo.
Since it was Malin who came up with this challenge there had to be some flowers and bling on the creation. I just love how it turned out. I took some paper roses and scattered around the page and then I had some super cute christmas bling from Marianne Design in the shapes of trees and snowflakes. I sacrificed a tree, cut it up in little pieces and scattered them around the page and it looks really cute when they catch the light.
So go right over to Hobbyworld and check out the great sketch and the prize this month is two of my favoutite tools. One pair of Cutter-Bee scissors and Tweezer-Bee tweezers. These are great, I could not live without mine! Go, play, have fun! And good luck :) Also, while you are´there you have to check out my friend Tesas cuckoo clock. It is AMAZING! Wow!

I found a really cute pumpkin when I went to the store and bought it without really knowing what to do with it. I was thinking about carving a face but then came to think about my Martha Stewart Craft Paints. I decided to make a decoration for the table instead. I painted the pumpkin white with gesso, then covered the top part with black paint. Then I applied a layer of Crackle Accent and then some more gesso. I also painted the bottom part messy with glue and covered with glitter. To decorate I used some ribbon, lace and cut out some hearts from cardstock covered with bookpages to put on a string. I think the pumpkin turned out really cute! This is my project for Hobbyworld this week :)
