I got the lovely Here and Now paper pad from Echo Park in my kit from En liten Butik and they are right up my alley! I love the colors and patterns, Lori withlock is one of my favourite designers. I made a blackboard effect with a stamp and love this colorful card with the black contrast.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ll visit En liten Butiks blog, the designers make all sorts of wonderful things over there and I’m really enjoying being a guest there.
Today I’ll show you a window card with an embossed window made for Hobbyworld. I’ve been using some Spellbinders products and a Photo Freedom kit from Echo Park called Fun in the Sun.
In my kit from En liten butik I got Distress Paint. I've been wanting to try it out for a while but I haven't had a chance yet. I really like the propertys of the paint since it is really versitale. I tried out a couple of techniques.
I tried stamping with the paint, it looked really cool on dark colored cardstock. Almost like the very popular chalkboard effect. I also got some really cool Stampendous glass glitter in my kit, I love it!
I used some nice wooden letters and papers from Echo Park.
I wasn't sure it would work but since the paint is acryli I hoped it would work as a resist and it did. I got some really cool results from stmping with the paint and then making backgrounds with distress ink. I made some more that looked cool with the light paint and some darker colored backgrounds also. I just have to try this on canvas also, I've made some cool pieces before with acrylic paint. But I think the distress Paint will give even better results since it's a bit more fluid.
I also got some really cool embossing enamel from Stampendous. I embossed the letters with it and love the look. I think I will have to try it on something larger also.
I'm still super excited about the kit I got from En liten butik, there are still so much more to try out. Looking forward to creating some more.
This week I’ve been playing with my Spellbinders dies over at Hobbyworld. Spellbinders make beautiful embossing folders, but did you know that you can use their dies to emboss too?
I’ve used a big die that cuts a beautiful pattern but I like it even more to use for embossing. For this card I’ve used some paper and embellishments from Basic Grey’s True Love collection.
For my other card I’ve been using some bright and colorful papers from Echo Park, the Love Story collection.
For this card I embossed the circle with two different dies from Spellbinders. I used a circle die with stars and one of the new cool Imperial Gold dies. Unfortunately I went a bit sticker-crazy and the latter doesn’t really show on this card, I’ll just have to return with a new card another time to show you how they look ;)
This week I made this circle card for Hobbyworld using cool Valentine-papers from Echo Park and some of the new great Spellbinders dies.
And talking about Valentines, don’t forget to take part in the february challenge at Hobbyworld. There is a valentine theme this month and there is a great loving prize to win :)
