This week is Sketch Week at En liten butik and every day one of us in the DT are posting a sketch to inspire. The theme is hearts of course since this is Valentines today. There will be prizes and lots of inspiration so if you like to be inspired by sketches you really should hop on over, there will be prizes and lots of fun!
This is my sketch, I made a lot of layers and a heart on a string with a sentiment about love.
And here are my card made from the sketch. I used some of my scraps from Echo Park Here and Now paper pad for this card and like most of my creations nowadays it has gold and vellum.
I hope you join us at ELB this week and I wish you lots of love today. Give your kids/parents/significant other/friend an extra hug. :) Take care!
‘tis the season for making christmas cards. I’ve been using the ‘tis the Season collection kit from Echo Park together with some Spellbinders dies to make a couple of quick cards for Hobbyworld.
Material/Supplies:
Echo Park Tis the Season Collection Kit
Spellbinders Shapeabilities CrissCross
Spellbinders Nestabilities Fanciful Lattice
Silhouette Glitter Pulver
Bazzil Card Shoppe Marshmallow 8,5 x 11
Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares - White, Variety Pack
Today I want to show you this shaker card I made for Hobbyworld. I filled it with multi colored bling. I’ve used a Photo Freedom kit from Echo Park designed by Jenni Bowlin. I really like this black and white patterned paper and wanted to use it for a card.
I made the shaker part by cutting out a window from a piece of patterned paper, backing it with a piece of plastic package and framing it with foam tape. I had the bling in my stash but you can use anything you have on hand like sequins, glitter or smal punched or die cut shapes for example.

Today I’ve made a card for En liten butik using a cool mask and some texture paste. It looks so cool!
I used some mist and a couple of sequins as embellishment. The Hero Arts stamp is embossed with black embossing powder and it really pops on the white card. I really like the effect of the texture paste, I just want to touch it!
I have some great news also! I get to stay on En liten butiks DT as a permanent member. I’m really really happy about this. I love the girls on the team, they are really creative and inspiring and the owner Lotta is great! Also, they have lots of super nice things in the shop and I get to play with some of them :) So with these news I wish you a nice weekend and come back tomorrow for my Hobbyworld post for this week. We will present the last part of our fall challenge and it’s a fun one! (also, this week I’ll just go ahead and post it on the correct day right away and not the day before like I accidently did last week...).
Tis week it’s time for part two in Hobbyworlds awesome fall challenge! Now there is an entire week for you to create a fall inspired kit in three parts for our challenge. There are some great Spellbinders to win! The good thing about making matching kits is that after making the first piece the rest is easy since you allready have everything out. The bad thing is that it makes quite a mess on the scrap table. At least on mine ;)
I made a card, a tag and altered a notepad that happened to be the same color as the papers I used.
For all creations I’ve used Spellbinders embossing folders to emboss cardstock covered in metal tape I had at home. I used a really cool 3D-embossingfolder for the card, it turned out really detailed and cool! I mixed up some MS Craft Paint in gold with some black pearlmaker (it was just the first thing I happened to grab, I guess it would be even better with acrylic paint) and smeared it all over the embossed surface with my fingers. I dabbed off the excess and after drying I also sanded it a bit.
I made the bookmark with another of the new embossing folders from Spellbinders.
The last part of the kit is this notebook, it was laying around and happened to be the same color as the papers I used. I cut out an embossed part with one of the new label shapes from Spellbinders. This one will be great for texts on cards also, the shape is so pretty!
I hope you got a bit inspired to create something for our challenge. I’m looking forward to seeing what you created!
This weeks creation for En liten butik is a card with a cool Kenny K stamp. I can’t belive I forgotten how relaxing it is to color stamps. I started out with the card from MME, Bloom Where You are Planted, I tried to keep the color scheme and then I added the great chalkboard-style paper from EP as a background. It really made everything else pop.
A close up on my coloring. I’d love to add some more Copics to my collection but it’ll have to wait :)
Later today I’ll post my inspiration for Hobbyworlds big and awesome fall challenge, part 2. You will nott want to miss this, there are spellbinders to win each week and then in the end one lucky winner have the chance to winn the Grand Calibur. Yey!
I made this card for En liten butik and it is beyound awesome :) I had this pile of diecuts next to the jar of embossing enamel En liten butik sent me and I was thinking that I wanted to see how it looked on a bigger surface. I took a random die cut and covered it two times with shabby blue embossing enamel and heated it up and I was amazed seeing how cool it looked! The pictures does not reflect the glittery awesomeness that is this card.
I took pictures right away and sent to my crafty friends who all said oooh and aaah and then I ran up and showed it to my husband who could see my exitement and also said oooh and aaaah because he has learned that when I look that exited coming out of the craft room that is the right thing to do. I still pick it out of the pile of cards and look at it now and again because it is a beautiful card and I just love that enamel. It really should be used on big sufaces like this.
This is my second post for today so keep on scrolling to see my Hobbyworld post also. It also shimmers ;)
I got some new Spellbinders in my mailbox a while ago. These will be released in the end of august. I LOVE this set, it’s called Font One Uppercase. I saved a really cool bithday card card in my inspiration folder, I’ve been searching the net like crazy to find out who made it but I just can’t find it. I lifted the card to make this weeks card for Hobbyworld but used letters instead of numbers.
Jag använde kraftfärgad cardstock bådet till kortbas och kortfront men jag använde en äldre Echo Park-serie som bakgrund till bokstäverna. Jag älskar de färgglada papprena i Everyday Eclectic-serien designad av Allison Kreft.
I used kraft cardstock for the cardfront and the cardbase but backed the letters with papers from an older collection by Echo Park. I love the bright patterns in the Everyday Eclectic Collection by Allison Kreft.
Material/Supplies:
Bazzil Basics Cardstock – Kraft
Spellbinders Font One Uppercase
Echo Park Everyday Eclectic – Chevron Woodgrain, Kraft Clouds
New month means new challenge at Hobbyworld, this month the theme are summer. I made a cute card using some things from a Photo Freedom kit from Echo Park. I love the cute sticker! Ia also used some of my Spellbinders to make the card pop.
I really love the result, it is a cute card with a cute summer greeting. I could of course not help myself and had to add something golden, in this case a gold thread.
I hope your summer is great! I start working again tomorrow after 5 weeks of lovely sunny vacation time. I wish the summer could last all year around ;)
Hop on over to Hobbyworld and check out the details and prizes for this monthss callenge and take the opportunity to scrap those summer photos. Take care!
